Rules and Regulations for Vendors at the Williamson County Farmers Market

The Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) requires food vendors who participate in agricultural markets to obtain a food market establishment permit. This permit allows vendors to take part in all agricultural markets under the jurisdiction of the WCCHD. Any complaint against a seller for discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate conduct, as defined in the “Code of Conduct for Suppliers”, must be reported to Market Umbrella in writing. Vendor representatives also help marketplace staff disseminate information and are the first point of contact for other vendors who want to convey questions, concerns, or other information to marketplace personnel. The Williamson County Parks Department (the “Department”) has the authority to make park land and facilities available to third parties for commercial activities not sponsored or carried out by Williamson County.

Currently, products in this category are only allowed on a very limited basis and at the discretion of Market Umbrella. If you're interested in carrying out a multimedia production project at a Williamson County park location, you must first review the multimedia production guidelines which will guide you through the application process. The Crescent City Farmers Market has established rules and regulations that guide vendors to understand their responsibilities as members of the market community. It is recognized that many locations, features, and facilities located in the various parks of Williamson County make media-related productions desirable. All vendors must allow Market Umbrella to inspect their production facilities at any time, with or without notice, in order to maintain the integrity of the farmer's market.

Sellers who do not come to the market for 30 days and without prior notice to market personnel will no longer be considered Market Umbrella sellers. Market Umbrella reserves the right to revise the rules and regulations of the Crescent City Farmers Market at any time it deems appropriate. Farmers can sell limited quantities of products from neighboring farms on a temporary basis subject to approval from Market Umbrella. These vendor representatives attend monthly meetings with market staff, bimonthly Market Umbrella Community Advisory Team (CAT) meetings, and meet when necessary to advise market personnel on a variety of topics such as requests for new suppliers, relationships between sellers and buyers, market programs, and market operations. Relevant services include those that support home cooking, alternative transportation to the market, community and environmental health, and anything else the market deems relevant to Market Umbrella's intersectional mission.
